Today, on September 5, 2018, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a new draw of candidates from the Express Entry system. IRCC Issues 3900 Invitations to Apply (ITA), the largest number in the history of the system. During this summer Canada sent ITAs to 3750 candidates each draw. This is already the eighteenth round of invitations in 2018 and 98th since the launch of this selection system in 2015. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of this draw was 440 CRS, just like in the previous round.
In total, this year Canada has already invited 58,600 candidates out of 74,900 planned. In 2019, the government expects to invite 81,400 immigrants through the Express Entry system. Despite the increase in the quota in the 98th draw, the minimum CRS remained unchanged. However, we hope for a small decrease in the minimum CRS if the government continues to invite more candidates in the following rounds of invitations.

Express Entry is an online selection system for Canadian immigration, designed to select skilled workers for immigration to Canada. Foreign nationals can immigrate through one of the Federal programs such as the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, Canadian Experience Class, or through the Provincial Nominee Programs.
The Express Entry system selects candidates based on Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for their age, education, work experience, and knowledge of the Canadian official languages.
