What is Express Entry?
Express Entry is one of the pathways to immigrating to Canada for some of the most popular programs, which include Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades, Canadian Experience Class, and Provincial Nominee Programs. It allows candidates to submit their profile and be chosen to become permanent residents based on some factors which include age, education, work experience, language ability, and others.
It uses a points-based system, the Comprehensive Ranking System, to assign points and choose top candidates to invite to apply for permanent residency. These draws happen biweekly throughout the year.
Express Entry for Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades, and Canadian Experience Class is currently on hold. The only active draw is the PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) draw.
