Our Partner Company in Canada is looking for a Chef to join their restaurant association.
Job Summary: A chef holds a leadership position in the kitchen and oversees all culinary operations. They are skilled professionals with extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, menu planning, and kitchen management.
In addition, Chefs ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of dishes while managing a team of cooks and kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu development and planning.
- Food preparation and cooking.
- Supervising kitchen staff.
- Ensuring food quality and presentation.
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Training and mentoring kitchen staff.
- Monitoring kitchen operations and workflow.
- Collaborating with management and the front-of-house team.
- And finally, Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization.
Qualifications:
- Culinary Education or Training: Formal culinary education or relevant culinary training.
- Culinary Experience: Extensive hands-on experience in various kitchen roles.
- Culinary Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu development too.
- Leadership and Management Abilities: Strong leadership skills to oversee kitchen operations and manage a team.
- Lastly, Creativity and Innovation: Ability to create unique and appealing dishes
In addition, time management and organization skills are necessary too. It’s equally important to have effective planning and multitasking skills too.
Job Conditions:
Monthly salary: Varies according to experience, from $20-$35 an hour.
