A software company in Montreal, QC, is seeking a Software Analyst to join their team.
Job Summary: A software analyst is the person who monitors the software development process, performs configuration management, identifies safety, performance, and compliance issues, and prepares software requirements and specification (Software Requirements Specification) documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plans, coordinates, and conducts software and system testing with application vendors and stakeholders.
- Maintain and support application services, with accountability for production reliability and usage and the delivery of new functionality.
- Provide support in developing standards for use by internal staff and third-party strategic vendors.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into system and application design aligned with the organizational technology roadmap.
- Design and document technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces, and integrations.
- Perform initial problem analysis and troubleshooting on problems or situations of a simple to complex nature.
- Lead, coordinate, and execute system support activities for a global portfolio of applications in compliance with defined SLAs.
- Conduct peer code reviews to ensure compliance with development standards.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology, including industry-specific technical certifications.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
- This position requires knowledge of Cloud Platforms such as MS Azure, including experience using collaboration tools and version control tools like GitHub/GitLab.
- Knowledge of scripting using SQL, .Net, C#, ASP.Net, and/or HTML is an asset.
Job Conditions:
Monthly salary: Varies according to experience from $5,500 – $6,500/month.
