Our Partner Company in Canada is looking for a Van Driver to join their team.
Job Summary: As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and/or passengers efficiently and safely to their designated locations. Your primary focus will be local or regional deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a van, adhere to traffic rules and regulations, to transport goods and/or passengers to designated destinations.
- Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transportation.
- Plan and organize delivery routes to optimize time and fuel efficiency, considering traffic conditions and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, invoices, and delivery logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, and helpfulness during customer interactions.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the van, reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Besides, communication effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and team members is essential to coordinate deliveries and address any schedule-related concerns or changes.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a Van Driver or in a similar driving role is preferred.
- Familiarity with local roads, traffic regulations, and routes.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities are equally important to have.
Job Conditions:
Monthly salary: Varies according to experience, from $15-$25 an hour.
