Yesterday, on September 19, 2018, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a new draw of candidates from the Express Entry system. IRCC Issued 3500 Invitations to Apply (ITA). The number of ITAs issued this time was less than in the largest draw in the history of the system two weeks ago when 3900 ITAs were issued. During this summer Canada sent ITAs to 3750 candidates each draw. This invitation round was 99th since the launch of the Express Entry in 2015.  The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of this draw was 441 CRS, one point higher than in the previous round.

In total, this year Canada has already invited 62,100 candidates out of 74,900 planned. This means that another 13,000 candidates will get the ITAs by the end of this year. In 2019, the government expects to invite 81,400 immigrants through the Express Entry system. The minimum CRS required to get an ITA remains stable with minor changes.
