Our Partner Company in Canada is currently looking for a skilled and dedicated Tile Setter to become a valuable part of their construction team.
Job Summary: As a Tile Setter, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the visual appeal and functionality of various construction projects through your expertise in tile installation. Your attention to detail and craftsmanship will be essential in ensuring that the final product meets the highest standards of quality and aesthetics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Precise Tile Installation: Apply tiles with precision and artistry. Ensure alignment, spacing, and patterns are consistent, resulting in visually appealing and durable surfaces.
- Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate adhesives. Ensure a suitable foundation for tile installation.
- Assist in selecting appropriate tiles considering factors such as color, size, and texture to achieve the desired design and functionality.
- In addition, Cutting and Shaping: Skillfully cut and shape tiles to fit around obstacles, edges, and corners. Equally important is to maintain the integrity of the design and pattern.
- Grouting and Finishing: Apply grout and other finishing materials to secure tiles, fill gaps, and create a seamless and polished appearance.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed tile installations to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, making any necessary adjustments.
- Finally, Communication: Maintain clear communication with project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure alignment with project requirements.
Qualifications:
- Tile Setting Experience: Proven experience as a Tile Setter or similar role, demonstrating expertise in installing different tiles in diverse settings.
- Technical Skill: Proficiency in using tile cutting tools, adhesive application, grout mixing, and other specialized equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to achieve accurate tile placement and impeccable finishing.
- Lastly, Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and address challenges that may arise during tile installation, finding practical solutions.
Job Conditions:
Monthly salary: Varies according to experience, from $25-$30 an hour.
